Commission Pricing Guide - ART

Thank you for considering me for a commission. I take pride in my work and all queries will be answered, whether you decide to commission me or not. Below is a rough guide to my price ladder - its meant as a general guideline, so if you are uncertain whether some would apply to you, send me a detailed email at apis@uneide.com explaining what you'd like, and I can give you a better quote there.

Commission worked will be displayed in my sample gallery unless otherwise stated and commission queue will be regularly updated so that you know if I'm currently available.

2008 Update - because or time constraints and ongoing projects, I am no longer accepting private commissions, unless we've made prior arrangements.

ART PRICING GUIDE

PLEASE NOTE! These are all guidelines for private/ personal commissions. For commercial commissions of publication, please contact me directly.
All prices are in US$.

RATING:
Usually anything from G to R Rating. Mature commissions will be discussed individually.
There are simply situations that I will not depict under any circumstances.

SUBJECT MATTER:
Obviously keeping rating in mind, I am not averse to depicting intimate moments, scenes, role-playing moments or character portraits, to anime characters. I don't draw mecha or vehicles, I don't draw anthros (furries) and most importantly, I don't draw underage characters in compromising situations or yiff under any circumstance. I also do not undertake group commissions - i.e. commissions where there is more than one commissioner. It makes for a logistical nightmare all around. The only exception to this rule is portrait work done for couples, and only by prior arrangement. I do have a mature art site. If you wish to see the samples, please contact me for the url.
I reserve the right to refuse any commission due to subject matter or personal preference, and I retain all rights (which includes reproducing it anywhere else but the actual copy that you get from me); if you wish to display it on your site, a link back to this site and my prior permission are needed.

PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS:
I take PAYPAL payments to apis@uneide.com and will also accept money orders.

TURNAROUND TIME:
For simple commissions usually 2-3 weeks from start to finish and another week to receive original by mail. For more elaborate work it will take longer, depending on complexity.
Please email me any existing deadlines such as if this is a birthday, anniversary, Christmas present.
You will be given regular updates as to the progress of the commission, and I will check with you:
1. After the original pencil sketch is done for any last changes prior to inking.
2. Post inking and pre-colour (if you are commissioning a coloured piece) to double-check on colour schemes chosen.

Below are the guidelines under which I undertake commissions :

The image will not be altered, and/or reproduced in any way, other than agreed upon purposes. Don't recolor my picture, add random things,etc. You are of course welcome to resize it and change it for the purposes of online avatars. I must always be cited as the author of the image, preferably with a link back to my page. Sale of image; the image may be sold to other parties, at any time, by me. Basically, I'm allowed to make prints of this for conventions and the like if I so choose. Normally do, I choose not to, since I rather sell art of my own characters. As a matter of courtesy, I always let you know if I'm intending to do this. Customized images are done with the understanding that I will hold the intellectual property rights to the image (just the image mind, never your characters!), regardless of subject matter.
